The Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area is an LA County Park and there is an entry fee: $10/vehicle.If you see a coyote, you can stop and watch, but do not approach it.

,The cinnamon teal (Anas cyanoptera) is a species of duck found in western North and South America. They hope to contain the usual events behind the numerous weirs running from canyon mouth down to Firestone Blvd. Bouncing along, TrailBear reached down and turned off the front and rear suspension lockouts. It has a small hard nut in a shallowly grooved, thick shell that is difficult to remove.

It's a long trail for any kind of biker whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or pro you'll find what you're looking for. Tree squirrels undergo a complete head-to-tail molt in the spring and a rump-to-head molt in the fall. A cheaper and better solution is to close the tunnel and put up a bike/ped bridge like the one used in Fairview Park, in Costa Mesa. There were no signs limiting parking there. It is an extremely adaptable bird, occupying a broad range of habitats. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 11 h 8 min to complete. LINKS WORTH LOOKING AT Marina Park, Seal Beach. No baseball diamonds, soccer fields or tot lots. It was 20 years in the planning and lobbying, but now its open. The only other option is to avoid the tunnel altogether and take the ramp up to Whittier Blvd. Park wasnt open at 9 as published but opened soon. My wife and I started out at the Seal Beach Trailhead and rode north to Alondra Blvd. Both have good facilities but Liberty was where the action was. That canal is the cooling water intake for the plant. And catch a bite to eat along with shopping . The alternative is to cross the busy PCH without a cross walk. It is endemic to California, growing in the hot interior valleys and foothills. The trail travels through an exceptionally diverse landscape. And, Yes, Virginia there is water and parking and restrooms and such along the trail (along with a skate park, assorted tennis courts, baseball diamonds, community centers, picnic pavilions, shopping centers and more). The LARIO is a better ride: wider, more waysides, better plantings. This means you need to plan your Los Angeles motorcycle rides very carefully so the sun doesn't go down on you mid ride.

The homes backing on the river have deep lots and it seems that almost everyone has a stable in the back yard. There is a gravel parking strip with lots of room. It's so nice to ride safely without cars. The San Gabriel Mountains in the distance provide a scenic background for the northern portion of the trail, whereas the ocean serves as a destination point to the south. Gateway Center has good one plus water, plus T shirts, etc. While many refer to scrub jays as "blue jays", the blue jay is a different species entirely. Recent research has suggested that scrub jays, along with several other corvids, are ranked among the most intelligent animals. The trail stretches for miles along the top of the dam. (What a charming name!) The San Gabriel River Trail extends from the base of the San Gabriel Mountains all the way to the Pacific Ocean. They breathe through feather-like gills and are found in bodies of water.

,Quercus agrifolia, the coast live oak, is an evergreen oak (highly variable and often shrubby), native to the California Floristic Province. The trail undulates up and down and recedes into the distance, headed for the Whittier Narrows. I have an issue with the tunnel that goes under Whittier Blvd.
California buckwheat is a good source of nectar over many months in dryer areas. You are in the Great (Urban) Wide Open, riding down the side of the river, descending a series of weirs, watching the altimeter unwind. Have yet to see a good hardcopy facilities map of the SGRT. Western gray squirrels eat berries, nuts, a variety of seeds, and the eggs of small birds.

It is native to the coast, California Coast Ranges, and western Transverse and Peninsular Ranges, from Mendocino County south to San Diego County. ,The Canada goose (Branta canadensis) is a large wild goose species with a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brown body. The nearest thing would be the LA County bike map. The park has a lot of facilities ranging from a Community Center right down past tennis courts, ball fields, a track and such to trailside parking, water, and restrooms handy for the folks going up and down the SGRT just over the fence. It can be used in large containers, natural landscaping, habitat restoration projects and as erosion control. There are several similar-looking species of dodder in Southern California which tend to be fairly specific to their host plants. Here is a nature center with tables and exhibits.
